Fusing science and fashion to create media buzz

A designer partnership that led to 16 press stories

Chromatic 3D Materials LED dress: studio portrait and Formnext booth

The challenge

Chromatic 3D Materials, a 3D-printing start-up, wanted to gain traction in apparel, a very different market from its industrial and medical customers. Its founder imagined a 3D-printed LED dress to show what its materials could do.

What we did

  1. 1Researched, screened and reached out to designers
  2. 2Identified FashionTech designer Anouk Wipprecht
  3. 3Proposed and managed the contract
  4. 4Connected Chromatic’s technical team with the designer
  5. 5Planned and ran the media outreach and social marketing
  6. 6Created landing pages, booth graphics and printed materials for Formnext

What changed

  • 16 press stories
  • Made Chromatic the talk of Formnext, the biggest 3D printing trade show of the year
